EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip: a word from the dental practices
Five dental practices share their experiences with the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip cannula
Dental surgery is a field that requires instruments capable of adapting to particularly complex operating conditions. This is why Euronda has chosen to trial the new EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip cannula in five selected dental practices, with the aim of gathering direct feedback on its daily use and the added value offered by this device.
EM45 is a sterile and flexible cannula, patented by Euronda and designed to facilitate suction even in confined operating spaces. Features such as its mouldability and screw-on tip make it a versatile tool, designed to support clinical work in complex procedures.

The practices that took part were:
- Marino Dental Practice in Rome,
- Carloni Dental Centre in Urbino,
- Basso Ritzmann Practice in Milan,
- Poggi Dental Practice in Seregno,
- Sant’Alessandro Stomatology Centre in Melzo.
These are well-established practices that have been operating in the field for decades and specialize in various branches of dental surgery.
The following chapters contain evaluations from professionals who have tested the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip cannula, providing valuable insights into the main aspects of its use in the field.
Flexible and mouldable for maximum precision
One of the most appreciated features of the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip is its ability to adapt to confined operating spaces and maintain the desired shape during the procedure. The cannula can be shaped as needed thanks to the built-in wire that guarantees the right degree of rigidity and maintains the bending angle, which translates into greater practicality and control for the operator, especially in complex operations or in difficult-to-reach areas.
As Dr. Marino of the Marine Dental Practice points out: “When it comes to wisdom teeth, it is useful because it can be easily shaped to reach areas that would be difficult to reach with a rigid cannula.”
A similar response also comes from Dr. Carloni of the Carloni Dental Center, who highlights the remarkable precision: “The ability to bend the cannula as needed provides a concrete advantage: we are able to work with greater precision, especially in extractive surgery and implantology.”
Typical applications
The EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip has been widely used in various surgical procedures and is particularly useful in surgeries where the rigidity of traditional cannulas represented a limit.
As several practices have observed, they previously had to settle for rigid surgical aspirator tips or sterile saliva ejectors, often having to alternate between several different instruments during the same surgery. This made an already challenging surgical field even more difficult, resulting in lower precision and longer operating times.
The EM45 cannula, on the other hand, has made it possible to tackle even the most complex scenarios with a single instrument, as observed by the Carloni Dental Center, where it has been used “primarily in extractive surgery and implantology.”
This experience was confirmed by the dental operators at the Poggi Dental Practice, who also noted that they can be left tor work independently: “It is very useful in implantology (because we can be left to work alone) and in extractive surgery (for wisdom teeth)”.
Or Dr. Macchi of the Sant’Alessandro Stomatology Center, who used the cannula mainly in “extraction surgery,” emphasizing that “with wisdom teeth, you can reach all the way to the back, even if the patient does not open their mouth completely.”
As noted by Dr. Marino of the Marino Dental Surgery, “It is also useful for penetrating the alveolus”.
The EM45 is a versatile instrument: ideal for complex extractions, particularly for wisdom teeth and implant procedures, and with the additional advantage of being able to be used independently during some procedures.
Efficiency and control of the surgical field
The possibility of moulding the EM45 is not simply an ergonomic advantage: several professionals have pointed out that this aspect translates into more accurate control of the surgical field. This is also thanks to its light blue tip that provides the perfect contrast for better precision. This is a concrete advantage that can improve surgical aspiration in operational contexts with poor visibility and confined spaces.
This advantage is recognised by the operators at the Poggi Dental Practice: “As an operator, I can say that it is much simpler to use because it is easy to model. You can work faster and with greater precision.”
And this is also reiterated by Dr. Macchi of the Sant’Alessandro Stomatology Center: “It is convenient because it is flexible and easy to manipulate, which is particularly advantageous in implantology procedures.”
Ergonomics for operators, comfort and safety for the patient
Precision, flexibility and greater operational efficiency, but also ergonomics that translate into less effort for the operator and greater comfort for the patient.
As noted by the Basso Ritzmann Practice and the Poggi Dental Practice: “The dentist or the operator feels less fatigued, because the cannula allows them to work more precisely and in more comfortable positions”.
In addition, the operator Luana from the Basso Ritzmann Practice emphasizes the advantage for the patient: “The cannula is less invasive to the patient and is more comfortable to manoeuvre than other cannulas we have used.”
The EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip also guarantees maximum safety, as the cannula and tip are biocompatible. In addition, the tip is designed to be gentle on the tissue. Each aspirator tip is packed in a sterile medical blister pack complete with a double adhesive label to provide maximum traceability.
The impact on daily workflow
Another appreciated aspect of the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip is how quickly operators and assistants have become accustomed to its use. The ease of handling and immediate usability have made the transition from traditional cannulas extremely natural, bringing concrete benefits to the workflow and improving procedures, thanks in part to the two adapters provided, which allow you to switch from a 6.5 mm diameter connection to an 11 mm and 16 mm diameter outlet.
Operator Marika from the Poggi Dental Practice observed that the transition to the new cannula was: “so easy that immediately after we used the trial instruments, we ordered two packs of them.”
Dr Macchi of the Sant’Alessandro Stomatology Centre also pointed out: “It was very easy to adapt: you get used to it right away.”
From an operational standpoint, the introduction of the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip has led to a tangible improvement in the daily workflow. The ergonomics and flexibility of the cannula have made it possible to simplify procedures and reduce the need to use multiple instruments.
The Basso Ritzmann Dental Centre highlighted: “Comfort and greater suction without having to use a standard cannula.”
This experience was also confirmed by the Marino Dental Practice and the Carloni Dental Centre, which stressed the extreme “simplification of procedures.”
In summary, the new cannula not only integrates seamlessly into the clinical routine, but has also helped to make the work smoother, faster, and less complex for the entire dental team involved.
EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip: a new approach to surgical aspiration
The experiences gathered from the five dental practices confirm that the EM45 SurgiFlexo Tip represents a real step forward in surgical aspiration: flexibility, precision and ergonomics translate into greater operational efficiency, reduced fatigue for operators and greater comfort for patients.
This instrument is simple to adopt and can bring concrete, immediate benefits in everyday clinical practice.
